Genghis Khan Fabrication Co.is a socioeconomic structure designed and built by the artist "Alvaro Guillen" as a loosely formatted experiment in decolonial aesthetics. It is a fully functioning and financially self supporting place where such things as, Art, Fabrication, Art fabrication, R&D, and prototype development intermingle. Conceived in Silicon Valley in 2010, GKF.Co. leverages the power of silicon valley, its startup culture, intellectual property creation infrastructure, and fabrication industry, for its own activities. Effectively problematizing the relationship between artist, gallery, curator, laborer, institutional/commercial hierarchies, and stardom. Work created by GKF fab Co. is intrinsically experimental and non-goal oriented. The question "what if?" is a primary foundation of the philosophy of the company.
